    Boy Scout NewsCamp Bonner & Rock Dimensions
    High Adventure in the High Country!

    July 27 – August 2, 2008
    August 3 – 9, 2008
    August 10 - 16, 2008

    Maximum exposure, challenge, and a chance to explore your vertical
    world! Four days of adventure in the mountains of North Carolina and
    eastern Tennessee.
    • Journey into the subterranean world in an undeveloped limestone cave!
    • Learn basic climbing skills at the 40’ outdoor climbing tower that you’ll put to
    use on the real rock.
    • Climb & rappel natural granite cliffs of Linville Gorge/Wilson Creek.
    • Traverse 30’ across a 60’ chasm suspended from a rope bridge!
    • Exciting whitewater rafting!

    ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST BE 14 YEARS OLD.
    Scouts will have the opportunity to earn the BSA Climbing Merit Badge during the course of the program.

    When: Arrive at Camp Bonner on Sunday and return to camp on Saturday.
    Sunday, July 27 – Saturday, August 2
    Sunday, August – Saturday, August 9
    Sunday, August 10 – Saturday, August 16

    Where: Base camp will be in the Boone area, at Grandfather Mountain Campground. Climbing activities will take place in the surrounding High Country areas of Boone and Linville Gorge. Caving and rafting activities will take place in eastern Tennessee.

    *In accordance with federal regulations regarding organized or commercial group use of public land, Rock Dimensions maintains a Special Use Permit for guiding in Pisgah National Forest and a Commercial Use Permit for areas of the Blue Ridge Parkway, National Park Service.

    Cost: The week cost is $550.00 for Scouts and $600.00 for Non-Scouts. This price includes all program fees, camping, meals, and transportation costs. The event must have 6 participants a week before each trip. The max number for each trip is 12 and Yes Adults my sign up for this trip at the same cost.

    Housing: Participants need to bring sleeping bags, pads.
